Gilwell 24 - 10-07-2009 - 12-07-2009

Update - Kent at 24
We all know that Kent is the best and this year we would like to show it by turning up to the opening ceremony on-mass – and just so they can’t miss us we’ve decided upon a County theme – Pirates – we’d like as many Kent Units to moor- up with us on the lawn outside ‘The White House’ on Saturday morning at 8.30am for a special Kent opening, including prizes! – We’ll then set sail for the main Opening Ceremony. We’re looking for the best dressed pirates and most original Kent Sea Shanty! We’ll see you there!
Pick up a new Kent Explorer T-shirt at 24!
About 24
Gilwell 24 is a National Explorer camp held at Gilwell Park in Essex. As the name suggests, based on the tv programme '24', activities run for 24 hours from 9am on Saturday morning until 9am Sunday morning. On Friday night there is normally a Disco, fun fair and other activities.
Around 1,500 Explorers attend each year, providing a good chance to meet others and take part in the activities, or chill out and sun bathe!
Activities include brushboarding, parkour, simulators, quad bikes, mountain boarding, shooting, sub-aqua, climbing, inflatable games and much more.
