Last year Kent Explorers stormed Gilwell 24 as pirates. We lay down the challenge and you answered! This year we want to see your Units coming as Rock Stars - yes, silly wigs, air guitars, make up, the works!
We've got prizes for the best dressed rock stars / units and will have extra prizes for Unit anthems (chants etc). Lets show them we're Kent!!!
About 24
Gilwell 24 is a National Explorer camp held at Gilwell Park in Essex. As the name suggests, based on the tv programme '24', activities run for 24 hours from 9am on Saturday morning until 9am Sunday morning. On Friday night there is normally a Disco, fun fair and other activities.
Around 1,500 Explorers attend each year, providing a good chance to meet others and take part in the activities, or chill out and sun bathe!
Activities include brushboarding, parkour, simulators, quad bikes, mountain boarding, shooting, sub-aqua, climbing, inflatable games and much more.
