New events for 2010/2011
We have the old faithful events such as Bogseat and Masterchef, but not wanting to rest on our laurels, the County Explorer Team has been cooking up a series of new bigger and better events to enhance the Explorer Calendar in 2010 and 2011.
SPLASH
A new water activity day for late June 2010. The emphasis being on trying out some new watersports or progressing existing skills as well as having a good laugh with Explorers from around the County. The day will finish with a BBQ. Activities to include kayaking, windsurfing, pirate rafting, water jousting and more!
Project X
A chance to take part in a project which will see a group of Explorers achieve something to be enjoyed by many others for a long time in the future. Working as a team, Explorers will complete a worthwhile project in Kent. As well as a great sense of pride the weekend will help Explorers towards completing their various awards. We are piloting this over a weekend, March 2010.
LEAP UK
Following the success of previous LEAPs (Lets Explore Another Place) we are now planning the next. In previous years we have ventured to France and Italy. LEAP will be held in Wales, UK. The full packed week will include activities such as climbing, kayaking, hill walking, coasteering, geocaching and much, much more, not to forget the usual subcamp rivalry! No experience required...come along and take part!
